Providing the highest level of protection for your agency through proper access to iBIS is of the utmost importance to all of us within eBusiness at Patriot Insurance. To do so most efficiently and effectively though, we need your help as well.

First, usernames and passwords to access iBIS should never be shared. Each user of iBIS should be assigned his or her own unique username and password. If your agency staff is not sharing passwords then no further action is needed on your part.

Next, if you are the Agency Principal or designated Security Administrator, please take a moment to review your agency’s access to iBIS to ensure unique usernames and passwords are being used by your staff. You can easily see a list of unique usernames to iBIS for your agency by going to the Administration tab and selecting “Security Management” and then the “All Agency Users” option.

Upon review, if you notice additional usernames and passwords are needed, simply click the “Request New User” option from the Security Management area of iBIS. If there are staffing changes or a user needs to be removed, this can also be easily accomplished in “All Agency Users” section by clicking the plus sign next to the individuals name and selecting the “Request User Deletion” button.

Besides providing your agency with better security protection, individual access to iBIS has the following benefits:

  •      Your name and e-mail address will pre-fill in the various functions in iBIS such as New Business and Endorsements
  •      Automatic authentication will occur from comparative raters and agency management systems without having to re-enter your username and password
  •      Ability to track who in the agency may have submitted a new business, endorsement or cancellation request
  •      Provide proper security to certain agency management information such as production report, commission statements, etc.

Maintaining proper security best practices is very important to both of us. If you have any questions regarding the security practices of your agency, please don’t hesitate to contact eBusiness Support at 1-800-234-1133 extension 3000.
