After serious consideration and valuable feedback from our agency partners, Patriot Insurance will be withdrawing its Home-Sharing Host Activities Amendatory Endorsement, which revised policy language to address select provisions applicable to home-sharing activities, such as renting out a home through Airbnb, VRBO and booking.com, and their treatment under the Homeowners Policy.

This form withdrawal means that the provisions stated within these endorsements will not be enforced and are no longer applicable to any new business or renewal policies. 

Effective June 1, 2019, the following forms have been withdrawn:

• Form #19206 (06/19) – Home-Sharing Host Activities Amendatory Endorsement

• Form #19207 (06/19) – Home-Sharing Host Activities Amendatory Endorsement – Ultra Home Guardian Policy

In Maine and New Hampshire, customers with policies that have renewed to date will receive a “Notice to Policyholder” letter to advise that the Home-Sharing Host Activities Endorsement is no longer in place and their policy will not be impacted. Customers in Vermont will also receive this notice, in addition to an updated declarations page, as requested by the state insurance department.
