Occasionally you may be looking at a risk that’s a bit different from those you normally submit to Frankenmuth Insurance. To avoid spending time entering in our iBIS system an account which may not be a good fit, we encourage you to contact your underwriter or field manager to pre-qualify.

To promote a productive conversation, try to gather the following facts before making that contact:

·         Business name

·         Description of operation

·         Website, if they have one

·         Location

·         Summary of loss experience

·         Number of years in business, and whether the applicant has been consistently insured

·         If not yet your customer, reason they are shopping (price, unhappy with current agent, etc.)

·         Indication of renewal pricing

·         Expiration date or when you will need the quote

And while you are talking with the applicant, remember you will need a Federal ID number to secure the account in iBIS, for your agency.
