To ensure we have the strongest agency partners on our team, all prospective agencies should meet the following requirements:
Profitability — A potential agency must show they have produced a 60 percent (or better) loss ratio during the last five years.
Growth — Revenue or written premiums must show positive growth over the last three years.
Location — A potential agency should be located in a growing/prosperous community within the Northeast.
History — A potential agency must have been in business a minimum of five years.
Business Plan — A written business plan must be in place. This plan should show a desire for long-term growth, and it must contain specific sales goals and objectives.
Financial Strength — A potential agency must be financially stable.
Technology — A potential agency must provide high-speed internet access to all employees, and it must be committed to maintaining state-of-the-art automation.
Sales and Service Culture – A potential agency should take pride in writing new accounts and providing outstanding service.
Appetite Awareness — A potential agency must have an understanding of what we want to write, including premium size, class of business, etc. and demonstrate the ability to produce within our desired appetite.
Premium Commitment — Depending on the size of the agency, a three-year written premium commitment will be established for each new appointment.
